The short answer
Four of the six actives have randomised human trials with a cognitive measurement at the end. Two have none at all. What those four trials report is modest, arrives over weeks to months, and was absent entirely for a meaningful share of the people who took part.
So: possibly, a little, slowly, and quite plausibly not. Anybody promising more than that is describing a product that does not exist.
Ingredient by ingredient
| Active | Best human evidence | How strong |
|---|---|---|
| Standardised ginkgo | 188 adults, six weeks, better recall of appointments | The strongest here. Recognition memory showed nothing, and two large prevention trials found no effect on dementia. |
| Green tea (theanine + caffeine) | Attention and distraction resistance within two hours | Well replicated, but small and short-lived. |
| Marigold lutein | Older adults, twelve months, one attention task | Single outcome, long timescale. |
| Turmeric curcumin | 40 adults, eighteen months, memory and attention scores | Forty people. A pilot, not a verdict. |
| Bamboo silica | None at a cognitive outcome | Here as a mineral contribution. |
| D-glucosamine | None at a cognitive outcome | Joint-health record only. |
Is it legit?
If the question means “is this a real product from a real facility”, yes — manufactured in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility, with every active printed on the panel at its own amount rather than hidden in a blend.
If it means “is it FDA approved”, no, and neither is any other dietary supplement. The agency does not assess supplements for safety or effectiveness before sale. A registered facility is one the FDA knows about and may inspect, which is a much smaller claim and is frequently blurred into the larger one.
What would make it not worth it for you
Several things, and they are worth checking before buying rather than after.
- You take a blood thinner and have not spoken to your prescriber. Ginkgo affects clotting, and this is the one interaction that genuinely matters.
- You are vegetarian or vegan, or need halal or kosher certification. The capsule is bovine gelatin.
- Your actual complaint is attention rather than recall, or the reverse, and you have not checked which ingredients address which.
- You have not ruled out a deficiency. If B12 is behind it, B12 is the answer.
- You are expecting to notice something in a fortnight. The quickest study behind anything here ran six weeks.
The fair test
Ninety unbroken days, taken with a meal containing some fat, having written down two numbers before you start: how many reminders you set yourself in a week, and how often a word stalls. Your memory of how sharp you used to be is the least reliable instrument available, and that note is the only thing that makes month three mean anything.
If ninety days produces nothing you can point to, the sixty-day refund exists for precisely that. Using it is not a failure — it is the arrangement working as described.
